St. Alban, France Chateau de Monterminod Vineyard is a 1,000-year-old vineyard located on the grounds of its namesake medieval castle. The vineyard began operation approximately two centuries after the building’s origination, and today it welcomes visitors year-round. Chateau de Monterminod Vineyard produces an increasingly coveted variety of white wine known as Altesse, which was introduced to Savoie by Princess Anne of Cyprus. The vineyard also produces a limited production of organic fruits and small batch honies for export.
